Notice of delegate nominations and elections to the Atlantic Coast District and ILA Conventions 6/28/07
Delegate Representation at the Conventions
The local union is entitled to five representatives votes, one vote for every 100 members. As part of their duties under the 1588 by-laws the President and Secretary-Treasurer are delegates to the conventions. The Union will send one additional rank and file delegate to jointly cast the local's votes.

Nominations and elections will be held at the union meeting on Thursday, June 28th 2007
Eligibility and Government Oversight
In order to be eligible to run for delegate you must be a member in good standing for one full year prior to nominations. In addition, you must also be certified as being free of organized crime influences by the court appointed monitor. The federal monitor, per the court ordered monitorship, will still screen candidates. You must sign the interest list available at the union hall by 6/15/07.

Expenses
For the elected delegate, Local 1588 will pay hotel, travel and an out-of-town per diem set by the IRS.

If you are interested in attending as a guest you must inform the local so we can formally register you as a guest.
