Feds Refile Civil RICO Case Against ILA

With just three hours remaining on a 60 day time limit, Federal Prosecutors from the Brooklyn’s Eastern District refiled a civil racketeering case against the top officers of the ILA and it’s health care funds on December 31st.

Judge Leo Glasser dismissed the case back in November citing problems with the way the government had argued its case. The refiled case makes more specific accusations about which ILA officers and organized crime associates were involved in specific incidents. It also make specific reference to telephone calls and mail used.
