Paul Trovato was elected Assistant Shop Steward July 12 in a seven-way race to fill the vacancy in the position created when Anthony Falcicchio, Local 1588 president resigned.

Delegate Representation at the Conventions
The local union is entitled to five representatives votes, one vote for every 100 members. As part of their duties under the 1588 by-laws the President and Secretary-Treasurer are delegates to the conventions. The Union will send one additional rank and file delegate to jointly cast the local's votes.
